Compass
Know your numbers before you need to.
What Compass will do
-
A real cash-flow projection engine
Assemble budgets, sales forecasts, assets, and investments with a set of global assumptions and project them forward — build a budget and forecast and actually see if the money works.
-
Scenario what-if overrides
Layer named override knobs on top of a base cash flow to model a funding round, a grant, or a bad month — without touching the underlying budget or forecast.
-
Shareable investor/funder links
Freeze a dashboard behind a password-protected, expiring public link with a comment thread — send a funder or board member your numbers without an account.
-
Multi-year sales & product forecasting
Build a sales forecast across multiple years and products in a grid, and plan further out than 'can we make payroll this month'.
Why it's free
We give this away because a good forecast shouldn't be the thing standing between your organisation and a grant application — and because we think you'll like working with us enough to stick around for the rest of the Sweet when you need it.
Already tracking real money? Meet Lejja.
Compass plans the budget and forecast before the money exists. Lejja, in the Sweet, does the reverse — forecasting from your actual transactions once it does. They're complementary, not competing.
Why not just use a free Google Sheets forecast template?
For a one-person org doing a single simple budget, a spreadsheet template is probably fine, and Compass's edge here is real but not dramatic. Where it earns its keep is scenario modelling without wrecking your original numbers (a spreadsheet's 'what if' usually means duplicating the whole file), a proper cash-flow engine that assembles budgets, forecasts, and assets automatically instead of you wiring formulas by hand, and a shareable, presentable public link instead of an email attachment. Because it's free, there's very little reason not to try it — the honest caveat is that it isn't available as a sign-up-able product yet.
